Whirlwind of a Week

Part II

To back track a little- while we were packing, we kept having to check and rearrange things to make sure my suitcase wasn't overweight. Even then I was worried that once we got to the airport my big suitcase would weigh too much and I'd have to take something out that I needed (wanted).

Kamala weighed the biggest suitcase while I checked in and it was 1lb shy of the limit! Thanks to Kamala's tips- put the heaviest stuff in the carry on, they only weigh the checked luggage.

I had my backpack nearly bursting. My carry-on full to the brim.  And a large red suitcase, 49lbs. I know, I know, but this is Australia. Another country- for 3 months! Another hemisphere! I went into the future for crying out loud, I time traveled!

Had a layover in Dallas. Rode the nice little sky tram around the airport to the other side to get myself a tasty salmon schmear bagel.

More airports should have these little trams, they're sooo helpful!

I've landed in LA. My big sis picks me up and what's my first meal?

I spent the next few days running some errands, making sure everything is arranged and eating at my favorite spots.

And hitting up a few favorite places.

Couldn't leave Cali without swinging by the beach first.

Couldn't have left on a better note!

And then it was time...
